Born in Vevey in 1960. Maurice Shobinger was graduated in 1984 from the School of Photography in Vevey.
Since 1984 he works as a freelance photographer, working in the field of landscape and industry.
In 1988 he develops a technically complex photographic lighting for buildings and sites.
From 2008 to 2010, Maurice Schobinger made five trips to Volgograd, where he created a poignant photographic testimonial to this martyred city.
Published in 2010, by Editions Noir sur Blanc, "Stalingrad Volgograd," enhanced by the Serafima Fedorovna Voronina’s journal entries from 10 September to 25 October 1942.

Il a été le photographe officiel du chantier du métro M2 à Lausanne et il a également réalisé le suivi photographique du tunnel de base du Gothard. Auteur de plusieurs ouvrages il a exposé ses travaux à l’occasion de nombreux festival et dans des galeries à Paris, Lausanne, Varsovie
