Yan Morvan, one of the best photojournalist of our time, has made a poignant view camera coverage of a country and its nation going through an international scale war.
Through a selection of 12 photographs (cibachrome print); civils’ portraits, families, soldiers occupying the «green line», the exhibition offers to discover the powerful and intimate story of a country and its nation tormented by the violence of an international conflict that already belongs to Humanity’s universal memory.
Through the photojournalist’s eye but mostly as a Human, with his head and his heart, with engagement and hindsight, Yan Morvan gives us to see all the violence and the paradoxical beauty of a war that concerns us all.
During fourty five days, I traveled through that desolation line from the West side of the Mountain to the Harbor. Streets after streets, house after house, I met the actors of this bloody vein and realized their portraits with a view camera Linhof Technika 4 × 5 inches. »

Yan Morvan, l’un des plus grands photojournalistes de notre époque, réalise un reportage poignant sur un pays et un peuple traversés par un conflit d’envergure internationale.
À travers une sélection de douze photographies – portraits de civils, de familles, de combattants qui occupent « la » ligne verte – l’exposition propose de découvrir l’histoire émouvante, intime d’un pays et de son peuple tourmentés par la violence d’un conflit international qui appartient déjà à la mémoire universelle de l’humanité.
Avec l’œil du photojournaliste mais surtout celui de l’homme, avec la tête et avec le cœur, avec engagement et prise de recul, Yan Morvan restitue toute la violence et la beauté paradoxale d’une guerre qui nous concerne tous.
« Pendant près de quarante-cinq jours, j’ai parcouru cette ligne de désolation du côté ouest de la montagne jusqu’au port. Rue après rue, maison après maison, j’ai rencontré les acteurs de cette veine sanglante et réalisé leur portrait avec une chambre photographique Linhof Technika 4 × 5 inches. »
